It's often on the steepest climbs that we develop the perserverance and stamina we need to finish strong. That's why at Treads, we celebrate the switchbacks - the steep, high places where adventures get tough and we learn to lean on the One who enables us to keep going.
The women at UPAVIM understand this well. Located in a “Red Zone” of Guatemala City, their community is plagued by difficulties like gang violence, alcoholism, and malnutrition. UPAVIM is creating new possibilities for these women to lead their families on a steep climb to brighter days.
